Human activity and its interaction with environment transform the natural existence. This kind of interaction is well-known with the term of "humanosphere". However, excessive exploitation of humanosphere nowadays causes a dangerous crisis to social and environment. It is showed by global warming, decreasing of biodiversity, energy crisis, and natural resource depletion. This situation raises apprehension and creates effort to repair the natural condition.
The International Symposium for Sustainable Humanosphere (ISSH) - a Forum of Humanosphere Science School (HSS) 2013 is created as a media to develop humanosphere awareness and accommodate the sharing of knowledge for inter-disciplinary researchers, practitioners and professionals specializing in subjects related to the symposium topics. The past two symposiums were held in collaboration with other institutions, i.e. Pattimura University - Ambon in 2011 and LAPAN - Bandung in 2012.
